I have, and IMHO, the Zman is a better product.

Storage issues aside. If I glue a TRD to the head, I can fish one bait all day (unless it gets bit off by a pike, or I snag it on junk) and catch dozens of fish. The Robo Ned worms..............not so much. And you'll go through a pack of them in no time if little fish are tearing them up. I am usually not concerned with bait durability if it is catching fish, but the Zman TRD is the rare exception of a durable bait that flat out is the best for the intended use.

Just keep them in their original bags, making sure the bag is sealed when not in use. They are so durable, you won't need but a couple packs of TRD's for an entire season. I have been keeping them (the TRD's) in their original bags, in a storage box with other plastics all year, and nothing has happened. My Zman collection now has grown so large, that i now have a dedicated large, single deep compartment Plano 3700 box dedicated to bags of Zman products, but like I said, until recently, it was a non-issue, as long as they were in their original packages.

There are a couple of colors of Ned Worms (Holographic Shad & Orange Crusher for example) that can't be duplicated with TRD's.  If I need to have that color combination, I find the Ned worms to be very effective.  Not near as durable, but effective.

If a TRD has a color that can work, I prefer to use it.

Not sure if this helps but I keep my Z Man TRD's in the original package and stow all my Ned rig stuff in a RubberMaid Container. Lids seal tighter than a drum and I have everything at my finger tips in one spot. I keep the various jig heads with them. Not rigged just divided by weight.

I'm a big RoboWorm fan but have not tried them yet. A few colors i do like. And as someone said the z mans hold up extremely well to getting bit. i have not fished the large TRDs yet.

I find the RubberMaid storage system works great. More of a kit form. I use my system for Neko, Shaky Head, Spider Jigs etc. just keros everything in one spot. I dont have baits deteriorate on me.

I got some of the Roboworm Ned Worms. I like them a lot.  The durability may not be as great as the elaztech, but they hold up admirably IMO (better than a wacky rigged senko, not that that is saying much).

Its nice to have the different colors at your disposal (I went with Morning Dawn Chart.)

Roboworm Ned Worm is pretty durable, I caught 4-5 small fish and still hold up. They are also heavier than TRD so it help casting distance and color selection is way better than Zman. Zman is also good and I still prefer those for Ned rigging, I keep them in original bag. If you don't like Zman, the Ned Worm might be good alternative, get a pack and try it. One guy here in my lake caught a nice 8lbers on Ned rig Toboworm Ned Worm.

I bought a few packs of the smaller size  Robo Ned worms and don’t like them at all for the Ned rig. They are too fragile and don’t quiver on a stright retrieve.

I also tried them as as a substitute for a 3-4” senko for weightless t-rigging. They don’t have much wiggle that way either and I haven’t really found anything else to try them with.    I did catch a few smallies drifting them weightless, but I think most any plastic will work for that if the bass are active.

You can try wacky rig weight or no weight or send them to me lol. I'll definitely getting 4" one for wacky rig instead of Senko.

I like the 4" version on a shaky head - Aaron's Magic , Perch , Aaron's Green Pumpkin , Blue Gill & Oxblood Light are all good colors on a shaky head using a hop , drag or glide tactic (the tails are slightly neutral - they do not float as the Z-Man TRD's do) .

I think the longer ones would make an excellent wacky rig plastic, but I have already given my shorter ones away I think.

^^^^^^^ This 100%

Based on 3 years and a lot of hours testing, real life fishing;the Zman finesse plastics are super durable and catch fish.  I'm up in the middle of nowhere in the ADKs this week, otherwise, I would attach a picture of the plastic and jig that I have used for the last 2 days. Well over my old record of 80+ fish caught with the same jig and Zman finesse TRD.

I will add that the more the plastic is used, the more the salt goes out of it and the more it plumps up, the better it seems to work, so I love it when I don't get bit off by a toothy critter and the plastic gets really worn out.  I will not put new Zman plastic on unless the old piece is hopelessly beyond further use.

As far as color selection, my experimentation/experience has shown that in the upstate NY region , a variation of green pumpkin (dark green) with any of the various fleck colors offered by Zman work the best - the basic black fleck is one of the best producers for me. As far as other colors - orange, purple, coppetruse, etc.; I have tried them all with minimal results. So for me to go looking for more colors would just be adding more stuff. I don't need more stuff, especially when I know which stuff works.

After saying the above; if someone wants to try robo or any other brand in any new color, please go ahead and spend away.

Like in most plastics, I try to keep my colors simple.  I use the following:

-Junebug plastics with Charteuse jigheads

- A bright green (Coppertruse, New Money, etc) plastic with a Red jighead

- A natural (Drew’s Craw, The Deal, Mudbug, etc) with a Black Jighead.

I have honesty not noticed much of a catch rate difference bwtween them.

*That pretty much means you are limited to using Green Pumpkin , Green Pumpkin Goby and maybe California Craw ... I believe there are instances where other Zman TRD colors could work depending on water conditions and forage you are trying to imitate or match the hatch with (such as Black & Blue , Junebug in the Spring  and White Lightening or Smelt in the Fall  ) . It may be a weird color in NY to use   , but try to tell a guy fishing Table Rock Lake in the Midwest that PB&J is a poor color choice to use for bass ! Green Pumpkin color and derivatives will catch the majority of bass - but there are still other colors not in the Green Pumpkin color family that have their place in the line up  .

I guess I differ from most. I have a bunch of Zman baits I will eventually use, but have found I like baits like the roboworn Ned worm and other heavily salted stick baits better.

The roboworm Ned worm worked really well for me this summer on a seibert Morel head. Is it the most durable bait, no, but it caught some nice fish. I have also found that re rigging the tail bit where it ripped, pinching of the part torn up by the hook, catches fish too, extending the life of the bait.

As far as the heavily salted baits, like an AC Wart Hawg, they have done really well for me. Might be because the tail stays parallel to the bottom while swimming instead of the tail trying to float up like it would with a Zinkerz.

Like the OP storage on deck is a big issue too, I keep a Rubbermaid shoe box to hold rigged plastic baits on deck so I dont step on them and to dry when I cut them off.

Not anti Zman, just found things that work just as well and are more convenient for me, knowing and accepting I will go through more baits.

No, I'm not limited to those colors; I have almost all the rest of the colors, including Cali Craw and Perfect Perch as well as New Money, which for the most part are dark green with other color specks.  I have the whole spectrum of Z man plastics including white lightning and pink.  Only color I'm missing is yoga pants - which is black?  I will probably buy a bag of that color.

I primarily use a variation of green pumpkin because that's what works the best for me most of the time in the region I fish, in the lakes I fish where the water is crystal clear. I do carry one of each of the other colors in mixed in 2 separate bags to try if my favorite go to colors are not working or if they are really working great and I'm catching so many fish I choose to experiment.  Because the Zman plastic is so durable, the packs of colors that I experiment with will probably last for years, as I have never had an issue with storage as long as these are kept in the original bags.

I'm not telling anyone fishing Table Rock or anywhere else what color to use; although I've heard the South African Special color works really well in certain parts of the country LOL.  Use whatever color you want, experiment, have fun with it.

Should have originally answered the OP as follows:

I prefer Zman plastics for ned rig fishing, they have all the colors I need and I never had an issue with storage. End of story.

The only reason to go with Roboworm Ned Worm is to take advantage of the colors availble. If you not into the colors, the plastic isn't as durable or floats as like Z-Mans TRD's.

*RichpenNY : Agreed on your last Z-Man Ned colors response ! Additionally , we have gone from using half a Zinker for a Ned rig (still use them !) to the small / large TRD and now a host of new Ned elaZtech Ned bait from Z-Man which are showing wonderful innovation ! Lots of fun experimenting with Z-Man Ned rig options for sure ...
