What action rod for weightless/light pitchin and flippin?

I was looking to get a baitcasting rod for weightless/light flippin and pitchin. I'm stuck on whether to go 7' Medium or 7'1 Med-Hvy. My choice of line would be 15lb Fluorocarbon if that matters.

It would depend on the cover situation to me. No cover to sparse cover, the 7' M will be fine. If you're going to be around moderate to heavy cover, go with the MH to move the fish quicker and have more control over them during the fight. 

 

I personally use a 7' 1" M/XF for my weightless plastics and light pitching, with 12lb fluoro.

The Tatula rods run a little heavy so I think M is your best bet.

For weightless plastics I have a Tatula M XF casting rod. I feel like I can cast and pitch better with the softer power, and the extra fast tip action for getting that hook to penetrate. 

 

I like the the action so much I now have two Medium action rods BUT when using heavier/weighted plastics I switch over to a MH. In your case if your line of choice is 15lb I think your better suited for a MH.

My workhorse is 7MF.  90+% of the time it is rigged with 1/8 weighted ewg sporting a SKRT Bug or CutR.  I use 20# PowerPro with 10# YZH leader

I use a 6’10 MF ghost for light pitching and soft plastics it does the job and very well that rod is a beast for a budget rod!!!

I use a 610mxf for that work with a 4/0 grip pin edge finesse hook.  If I need a heavier hook I step up to medium heavy.
