Straight <insert favorite line>, no leaders for me. I lean toward braid on spinning gear. Mono on casting gear.

For me, once you go braid you don't go back. All my fishing buddies swear by braid too. It never tangles, nice and smooth, strong as hell, and easy to see. Never had an issue with braid ever. Like PowerPro and Suffic834. If I am fishing for Smallies in super clear water, I will use a 12lb Floro leader as well. Sometimes for topwater or Jerkbaits I will use a mono leader.

The one downside is that the knot you use for braid takes a little longer than tying with mono or fluro.

Power Pro braid with mono leader for everything.  I use super cheap Academy brand flouro for backing on my reels.

Knot for me.  :teeth:  Uni for all lines.

OP.  Use a lot of mono and co-polymers.  Like others...braid on frog rod and rod I use for casting worms into the lily pads.  Some braid on spinning reels, but still like mono there too.

Big Game, Siege, AN40, Mean Green, 832 and Fins baitcasters.  Elite, XL, 832 and Fins spinning.

All three, depending what and where I'm fishing.

Braid for frogs and jigs in heavy cover, mono for topwater or fishing in shallow water, fluro for everything else.

Straight mono for me (Sufix Siege)

Best mono I've ever used hands down. Low memory, high abrasion resistance.

I didn’t intend to ruffle any feathers. I’m new to this forum. I just wanted an idea as to what you guys use.
