tim_kovar Posted September 5, 2018 Posted September 5, 2018 I am wondering what the differences are between these two rods for those of you that have used them. I am looking for more of an all purpose MH rod and from my experience with other g loomis series rods the 4 power is likely what I would want. This would be used mostly as a moving bait rod primarily for 1/2 oz. spinnerbaits (in some cover) and also pull light duty with other techniques. Quote
Super User NHBull Posted September 5, 2018 Super User Posted September 5, 2018 You definitely want the MBR. The JWR is good for what it is, but it tends to be a one trick pony. That said, I am liking my MBR for jig and worm purposes too. Think about it......while it is apples and oranges, the conquest is an MBR. My favorite GLX is an MBR... Easy decision based on what you described 1 Quote
tim_kovar Posted September 5, 2018 Author Posted September 5, 2018 Thanks for the input NHBull. Quote
Hulkster Posted September 5, 2018 Posted September 5, 2018 I own the E6X MBR903c which is a 7'6 version of the classic 843. Its worth a look as the extra length is pretty awesome. However, it is MH power not Heavy power (3 power not 4 power) Quote
Super User NHBull Posted September 6, 2018 Super User Posted September 6, 2018 Tim, I would stay in the MH range, not heavy......for more versatility Quote
