But soon the best time of year will be on us. Fall is when the hunters head to the woods and I put on a flannel shirt and enjoy the peace and quiet. 7 Quote

looking45 Posted September 4, 2018 Posted September 4, 2018 Labor Day is the day all the fisherman here look forward to. It's the end of the summer and all the vacationers are gone and we get the lake back. Shasta Lake is a summertime destination and every summer, up to 2 million people visit. Now that they are gone, the temps need to drop out of triple digits and the smoke from all the fires needs to disappear. There's so much smoke it looks like fog. 1 Quote
Big Rick Posted September 4, 2018 Posted September 4, 2018 Down here it's pontoon boats pulling tubes, jet skis, and ski boats pulling skiers that create 2 ft swells and completely blow out the bank fishing! Water will be muddy 20 yards out from the bank! Now that all that is pretty much said and done it looks like Gordon is gonna give us some much needed fresh water! My favorite lakes are over 2 feet low... fingers crossed.. 1 Quote
