2 were in the process of dying

all 4 looked like there was nothing wrong with them could there be an issue with the pond ? i never remember finding fish just dead with no issues that i could see visually

just thought i'd ask here

It happens.  I wouldn't worry about it too much.  There is a reason each fish when spawning lay thousands of eggs.

Late summer, most ponds are low on oxygen, high temps, low water levels, higher risk for infections. Always seem to see some dead bass of all sizes this time of year.

Bingo! We've been checking oxygen levels every week at refuge since mid July. Finally got some rain last week and we're starting to see better levels.

could be

it looks like this ... it's not the exact picture but this is the stuff that all of a sudden out of no where showed its face

also i look down and see things that look like weird bones ... but i don't think they are bones i think it's some sort of underwater plant ? sometimes it looks like it's part of this stuff but also sometimes it's off by itself

That’s milfoil. It’s only beneficial. Adds O2 during the day, provides refuge, and purifies the water. Four dead fry means nothing. One out of thousands of fry make it to adulthood.
