dcchester Posted August 25, 2018 Posted August 25, 2018 Hey, I just bought a 6’6” st croix avid x medium-heavy with a fast action tip on sale for $150 Canadian so now I need a reel. I am trying to decide between a Lew’s tournament MB speed spool or a Lew’s Mach crush. Any suggestions, or if there’s another reel you think you work well and last a long time let me know please. I plan on using 30lb suffix 832 with jerkbaits, weightless senkos and flukes for bass and mid 20inch pike. Thanks, David Quote
Lead Head Posted August 26, 2018 Posted August 26, 2018 The mb is a way better reel in almost every way... in my opinion. I have used both. If you want to spend less, look to the diawa fuego ct. If you want to spend more... I can't help much, I'm currently only using mb's and fuegos. Quote
Dens228 Posted August 26, 2018 Posted August 26, 2018 I agree, I have both, the Tournament MB is better.......smoother, feels better on both cast and retrieve, casts farther. Quote
jeffo21 Posted August 26, 2018 Posted August 26, 2018 I have a couple of the MB's and love them I also have several of the Lew's LFS reels. Lew's reels just seem to fit my hand better than other brands. Quote
