Welcome to the forum. It would be best to bring a scale you can know how much a bass weighs. You can also measure the length and girth of a bass and get a very good estimation of the weight of the bass.

Length*Length*Girth÷1200= Weight in pounds

I'd say a little over 3 pounds.

If we use you for scale, are you huge like Andre the Giant or a diminutive little person?

I'd say....3.5 lbs.

Having a length will at least put us in the ball park of what the fish might weigh. A good fisherman always has a tape measurer on him!

Just judging by the size of your hands compared to the size of the head/mouth, I'm going to guess around 4 pounds (give/take a 1/2 pound).

Eh not really true. Many great fishermen don't care about getting the digits.

3.5-4. If I had to guess more accurately I'd say 3.8.

Welcome to the sight, without a length its hard to give you an accurate weight, but most guys on this site would be proud to show this bass as one of their catch for the day.  Congrats!!!!!

Nice fish!

Cool thing about not having a scale is that she's going to weigh more in a few months....and even more in a couple years.

If you catch an unexpected monster and want to get measurements, use fishing line. Cut a piece that is length and a second that is girth. You can take the pieces of line home and measure them later.

About 3.5-4lbs I'd guess.
