you are right,the new textured finish altered the action slightly. been one of my favorite baits for years and still got plenty of older ones to fall back on.but you are on to something. still can find older models if you look. Walmart still has some of the smooth bodied ones.

Hello and welcome to the forum. I have some of the old baby 1 minus crankbaits in my tackle box but it is a rare day when I actually use them.

 Ironic, I just seen some shallow running bombers that look like an exact copy of the baby minus in the bargain bin today?

thanks for the warm welcome baby1s are popular in tidal rivers where i fish.the new baby1s seem to have a more stream-lined wobble and less or smaller rattles.  I miss one of my favorite search baits. by the way im new to forums or even computers so sorry in advance if Im screwing anything up Bent rods everyone !
