Night Fishing

I have caught solid fish after dark this year on a chatterbait. Usually, a buzzbait is my go to but I haven’t had much luck on topwater at all so far. Let me ask you guys this? Have you still found success flipping jigs after dark into heavy cover just like you would during the day? Seems to me if a bass is roaming and looking for a juicy bite after dark he would crush a jig in the shallows.

I'm sure they would. Tons of people throw big worms and similar baits. I could only assume they'd find a jig as well. 

I personally love to power fish, especially at night because I know the bass are more active. I only throw 3 baits at night. Colorado spinnerbait, Chatterbait with a big trailer, and a whopper plopper. I get crushed on everyone of those. Buzzbaits never seemed to work at night for me, but the plopper gets hit with a vengeance.

Jigs are one of my favorite baits to fish at night. Don't fall into the misconception that it has to be black and blue or black to work at night either. While it's a solid color choice, the same colors that work in the daytime will work at night.

The big suprising thing when I started night fishing is they hit the exact same color as in daytime.  Watermelon was not what I thought was going to be a first pick.  They seem to hit slower as the need to find the bait but are a little less shy

I don't know about flipping at night, but I will have a jig/RageCraw tied on most nights. Dragging and short hopping seem to be my most productive retrieves, but on occasion, stroking has produced.  I would imagine flipping docks would be as productive at night as it can be during the day.

This. I can guarantee you a bass will eat a jig at night.

 I catch  fish with Texas rigs in cover when I can see it .  Most of the time I run into it or cast in it before its seen .

Everything that works in the day works  at night, but with the lack of light I limit myself to topwaters, TRIG, jigs

If they're hitting Watermelon Neon before sunset guess what I'm gonna be throwing after sunset?

agreed....and on and around a full moon will annihilate a plastic worm...guarantee it...
