Super User Angry John Posted August 19, 2018 Super User Posted August 19, 2018 Get a core set of colors to work with. Green brown and black Quote
Super User FryDog62 Posted August 19, 2018 Super User Posted August 19, 2018 White and Chartreuse are the original smallie magnets !! Quote
Super User Log Catcher Posted August 19, 2018 Super User Posted August 19, 2018 You will need some baits in natural colors and patterns like shad and bluegill. Quote
volzfan59 Posted August 20, 2018 Posted August 20, 2018 Color is a confidence thing. For me, green pumpkin works absolutely everywhere. Zoom's "cotton candy" Fat Albert's and Lizards work well for me on Norris. Sometimes I'll dip the tails in chartreuse. Several of my friends use green pumpkin/ red flake on Douglas. If your throwing Fluke type baits, "Log Catcher" is 100 % correct, natural shad colors are the ticket. Quote
Global Moderator TnRiver46 Posted August 20, 2018 Global Moderator Posted August 20, 2018 Douglas night time fishing people always mention a red color Texas rig worm, especially cherryseed. Norris I like green pumpkin. All that said, junebug works anywhere anytime Quote
BassNJake Posted August 20, 2018 Posted August 20, 2018 I'll echo the green pumpkin for Norris, I also like black for topwaters. Quote
