Clint Averitt Posted August 10, 2018 Posted August 10, 2018 I need help in deciding on some new rods. I’m a little torn between Cashion elite series and the Dobyn’s Champion XP. I’m looking for: Texas rig/jig rod Finesse jig rod General Cranking rod for everything from 1.5 square bills to a 6XD Topwater/jerkbait rod Finesse crankbait rod for like wiggle warts and shad raps Compination drop shot, ned rid, neko rig, tubes Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am looking for different rods for each technique, I just can't decide on which brand, Dobyn's or Cashion. Quote
Clint Averitt Posted August 10, 2018 Author Posted August 10, 2018 The approximate $260 per rod, if I decide on the Dobyn's Champion XP is about as high as I want to go. I'm open to suggestions though. Quote
Super User Darren. Posted August 11, 2018 Super User Posted August 11, 2018 Welcome aboard, Clint! Can't help you with either rod you're torn over as I've no experience with them. Good luck on finding The One that fits each technique. Quote
LionHeart Posted August 11, 2018 Posted August 11, 2018 Wish I could help man. I can't afford to give advice on rods like that. Quote
Super User Jig Man Posted August 11, 2018 Super User Posted August 11, 2018 8 hours ago, Clint Averitt said: Compination drop shot, ned rid, neko rig, tubes One rod won't do for all of those types. Drop shot and tubes might work on your cranking rod. Your ned needs to be light and pretty limber if you are going to fish it the way it was designed to be done. Quote
Super User NHBull Posted August 11, 2018 Super User Posted August 11, 2018 If you are trying to do all that with one rod, the only one that comes to mind is a Loomis MBR. It will bump your budget, but you'll love it .....if not, got 2 rods.....a M/F spinning, MH/fast Dobyns Fury Quote
Bruce424 Posted August 11, 2018 Posted August 11, 2018 744c dobyns good Texas rig rod jig rod 685cb good topwater and jerkbait rod but a great square ill rod... my opinion Quote
