Looking for some clarification, will the Pitboss still be made in the $3/pack Havoc form after it's added to the Powerbait line-up? Or will it be exclusively $4-5/pack Powerbait and eliminated from the Havoc line-up? If it's the latter, I may have to stock up. I'll take a $3 Havoc with JJ's Magic over any Powerbait product.

I am hoarding pitbosses like crazy. I expect the price to go up, but not bad. I think tackle warehouse has them listed for 3.99 per 8. They are now in the powerbait line. I believe the havoc line is gone. Havoc and others came along when the economy was hurting, it’s sad to see it go away. I’m still thankful that Berkley kept the pitboss, it’s my favorite flipping bait.

So much gossip, based on nothing.  The pit boss is available in both OG and Powerbait versions.  The Powerbait is $.50 to $1 more on most sites.

I thought I read that Havoc was discontinued in In Fisherman mag.  I hope I'm wrong, some of those baits are fantastic for the money.

I have to confess, I’m such a powerbait junkie that I’ve never even tried the havoc series. I’m sure it’s mostly a confidence thing but I’d rather have the powerbait/gulp/maxscent in the bait, even if it only gets me one more bite a day or it means the fish holds on for one second longer to get the hook driven into it. My go to for the last few years has been the powerbait thief and this year I’ve done really well with the maxscent creature hawg. Just my 2 cents.

My opinion: Lower priced non-scented baits were added to Berkley's line when Pure Fishing was sold to a holding company that didn't understand Berkley's history or care about the direction of product development...  Many good long-time products have been dropped rather than promoted.

I wonder if skeet Reese makes money of his pit boss or if it was just like a one time deal for putting his name on the pit boss? I mean I know he’s on their payroll or prostaff whatever but I wonder if he’s makes any extra for having the best selling bait in the havoc line up?

Love the Havoc Pit Boss on a chatterbait or jig!

I'm hoping they still continue use to make the Pitboss in the Havoc lineup. I much prefer the heavier, more durable plastic for my flipping baits. I like that I can get more than a single fish from a bait. Powerbait plastics are so much softer than Havoc.

My local Dick's is heavily stocked with the Havoc Pit Boss so seems like it's not going away soon.

Am unsure about the entire Havoc line (I doubt it) but my beloved Beat Shad cannot be found on any shelves I've looked (anymore).  Glad I bought up a bunch the last time they were on sale.

Hopefully they keep on with the Grass Pig and Jr.   The Jr especially, they make an awesome, cheap trailer.

Agreed! Also, the havoc  pitboss floats, which is a feature I like. When I get hand on the power bait version I’ll try em to see if they do the same.
