I am just curious to know if it matters if a kayak is centered on a vehicle rooftop or not?  I use to fish out of a narrow sot kayak and always placed it over the drivers side of the vehicle. I have now upgraded to a much more wider kayak and wonder if I should center it more on my vehicle.

If you're going 100s of miles on the highway, I would center it for the drag characteristics if nothing else. But I don't think it's that big of a deal for short trips.

totally your preference.  I personally liked my kayaks off to one side when i car topped them, on factory racks especially, because they didn't seem to flex the rack as much as if they were in the middle.

It makes zero difference.  Pick your preference.
