Roboworm Color Question

In the S.E. most favor the green pumpkin and watermelon colors for worms (i.e. some form of green color) with the occasional MM III for overcast or stained water conditions ... A local store got in some Oxblood and Pro-Staff Peoples Roboworm colors in and although brown / tan in color had a certain nice natural look to them .

 

*Question is are the Oxblood and Pro-Staff Peoples worm more of a West Coast deal or have those in other parts of the country had success using the Oxblood and Pro-Staff Peoples (brown/tan) worm colors ?

I'm in Missouri and the colors you mentioned, plus blue crawler, are my top 3.  Pick a couple packs up, I bet they'll do well for you. Smallmouth seem to really like the oxblood especially

Greens out west aren't popular unless they are in the lime green baby bass or bold bluegill colors. Every discount store sells green pumpkin and watermelon red red flake because it's the top selling color nationally, this doesn't mean they are the top bass catching colors! Oxblood red flake is a natural nightcrawler color and Peoples worm is a close second.

On WRBs recomendation, I bought oxblood red flake roboworms. They have worked as well if not better than others. My two other best have been mm111 and folkstead special.

Thank you for the positive reply. Purples and blue neons are my personal favorite go to colors and all those have some purple or blue neon in them.

Started using that color with Ross England at Clear Lake. Works in here in Tx just fine...Color is a myth as far as I'm concerned anyhow.

Here in Norcal I seem to get bit more/have more confidence in,  plastics in Morning Dawn and dark purple.  Green pumpkin/watermelon have their time and place but I always grab those other colors first.

I'm up here in the N.E. They are very productive. I fish a lot of RoboWorm. River Smallies tend to hit all the colors I throw. Both oxbloods are great, The versions that are like baitfish or shad are killer. Pro neon blue, Blue crawler, and Prism crawler are up at the top for me. Similar to Peoples Craw having a touch of blue to them.

My first real success with the drop shot was with a MMIII Roboworm and I still use it about half the time.  I use a ton of Martin’s Madness and have yet to settle on a green/natural color, but like Aaron’s Magic w/Red Flake a lot.

I really like the several variations of Aaron's Magic, named for fishing stud, Aaron Martens, the pro bass angler. Some cool colors and one thing about Roboworms is that almost all of them have multiple colors, so more possibilities of catching the attention on nearby bass.

 

Lots of complaints lately (summer doldrums) about slow fishing on my home lake here in east Texas, Lake Athens. But, I told the TFF crowd I caught 6 LMBs rather fast on a drop shot near a well-known bridge on the lake yesterday. I was using a, what, I guess they call it Morning Dawn, sort of a Popsicle red color but it has the chartreuse tail tip. 

 

I had never seen these color tipped tails, that or just never noticed their availability; so, I bought some with my last order. This color works very well for me on several lakes with moderately clear, lightly stained water. The color might work best on lakes with bass feeding on bluegills.

 

Here, a pic from yesterday and you can see the little worm in the background.
