Bass will eat anything that looks like food. Doesn't matter if they've ever seen one before. As has been said here many times in the past, one of the most productive lures of all time is the worm and worms are not commonly found in lakes.

Yes.

When you figure out what a Senko is actually supposed to be, let us know. Until then we'll keep feeding it to them -- remaining completely clueless as to why they love it.

This. If it looks like food and fits in their mouths, they will eat it. If it looks like food an doesn't fit in their mouth, they may still try to eat it.

Without a doubt.  I can't tell you how many fish I catch on a Baby Brush Hog, but have yet to see one in my lake.

I bet there are crawfish in your lake. Set out a few traps (if it's legal) and you can check colors.

Regardless, yes, your bass will eat your crawfish baits.

Was going to say the same, you'd be hard pressed to find a lake without any in it

My local lake is really small. Just a couple hundred acres. I’ve looked all around it for crawfish and only found a couple tiny ones in the very head of the main feeder creek that runs into it. There is little to no rock or pebble in the entire lake. I catch a bunch of bass on a zoom speed craw on a standup jig head. They’ll eat it if it looks good to them.

Yes they will.

No rocks required to have craws, they'll dig holes in the mud too. I've got craws that live in my yard, they dig holes in the ground and leave little mud chimneys leading down into the ground. They live in pretty much every body of water I've ever seen.

Heck yes they will. And I’d also be willing to bet that there are some craws in your lake. Craws exist in nearly all freshwater bodies of water along the east coast. You may not have seen them, and you may not notice any evidence of them, but if you look hard enough, you will probably be able to determine for sure. Throw a trap in the water for a couple hours at night and see what happens.

Read up a bit on some of the most common species in your area and learn about their habitat and behavior. It may help you narrow down where and how to look for them on your lake.

There are over 300 species of crawfish in this country.  Unless the body of water is extremely acidic, there's some species of crawfish in it.  At any rate, I've fished a lake that is so acidic, your skin peels after a day of fishing.  The #1 bait there?  Jig and craw.

If you don't them there's no crawfish they want know!

Bass can not distinguish between Gizzard Shad & Threadfin Shad.

All they see is food  ?
