KSbass Posted July 30, 2018 Posted July 30, 2018 Anyone know if there are any? My dad used to belong to one but it since shut down and became public long ago. Was pretty cool growing up and going fishing on a lake no one would be on all weekend. Was curious if any were around. Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted July 31, 2018 Global Moderator Posted July 31, 2018 Only thing close that I know of are lakes you have to buy permits for or be a property owner. Some of the more rural lakes that you have to be a property owner to access are kind of like being a member. I own a lot on one, it's $175 a year in dues, so basically a membership to get a gate key that gets me access to 2 lake boat ramps. 1 Quote
KSbass Posted July 31, 2018 Author Posted July 31, 2018 If anyone on here knew, it’d be you. My dad had a membership to lake hobby near Osborne. Had a gate key and members would reserve days or weekends for access. At least how I remembered it. Was a pretty sweet deal. We would always be catching really big bass and a lot of them. Was hoping there was something like that still around. Shame. Quote
KansasBassin Posted August 8, 2018 Posted August 8, 2018 Yeah I agree with Bluebasser86. Around JoCo, Shadow Glen/Cedar Creek and Lake Quivera, but you are talking high $$$ houses, but awesome lakes. I own property at a place by La Cygne called Tanglewood. Around $200 a year in dues and taxes but it is a nice clean lake that gets little to no pressure on the bass. Have to deal with some Jet Ski's but it is a nice lake. 1 Quote
