Loving my Fuego CT so far! Have only used it a few times, and hopefully thats the reason for my issue. It reels very smooth, but is a little geary sounding. Not sure if it is coming from the main gears at the handle or the worm gear. Is that normal? Will it go away with use? My Abu UltraMax is near silent and I know the Fuego is a much better reel, but it doesn't sound that way. I can't remember if the UltraMax had a similar sound when I first started using it a couple months ago or not. I have not done anything with the Fuego, just took it out of the box, spooled it up and started fishing (same with the UltraMax).

Thanks guys! Like I said, loving it. Feels great and performs beautifully. Was only concerned because I know it's a better reel than the UltraMax but it is noticeably more noisy. Not bothersome, but made me wonder if something might be wrong. Just wanted to make sure. I'll keep on fishin it! Thanks again.

Fuegos and tatula cts are notorious for being dry(ish)from the factory. Grease the main/pinion gear and it will help. Mine(tatula ct) are silent.

My Tat CT too. No worries. So was my Shimano BMP new out of the box. And that was... 35 years ago now. Still cookin' she is too. :)
