What other hobbies/passions

Maybe. My son's been on a pretty good dirt car rant since we went to the sprint cars 4th of July weekend. The late models are coming so we may do that. I hope garbrandt ko's dillashaw too. I also hope mighty mouse loses but that's probably not gonna happen. I'm not a Gustafson fan. He runs a lot and get praised for great footwork. When some other fighters do it they're avoiding the fight. Plus he's lost every big fight he's been in but clamoring for another shot.

Haha. Definitely. Mighty Mouse is a beast. His winning streak is crazy. But it should be a good fight.

 

My favorite fight at LHW (205) was Rumble, but he retired.... I wish he would have fought Jon Jones.

After 60 plus years have it narrowed down pretty good.  Fishing....fishing .... fishing.  Golfing with the lil lady and last but not least .... playing with grandkids and family

I'm also a huge fight fan.

My father got me started as a kid and I remember watching a ton of fights and reading Ring magazine all the time.

The first Sugar Ray/Hearns fight was one of the best fights I remember watching back then, later the Gatti and Ward fights brought the same feelings back.

Also loved watching guys like Alexis Argüello, Salvador Sanchez, Duran, Wilfredo Benitez and Aaron Pryor fight.

 

Cant remember the name of the guy but he fought out of the Rahway Prison in New Jersey and was a pretty good fighter. 

 

I watched the first few UFC events on VHS and have probably watched every event since the mid 90's.

My brother fought for various organizations including pancrase out of Japan in the late 90's.

I guess I'm the outsider as I want Dillashaw to starch Cody again and then wait for the excuses to come pouring out of team alpha male. DJ is amazing, his skill level is hands down the best.

I used to live in NE Ohio and was out driving around one day and saw these 3 guys in suits running in front of a limo.

As I passed them I saw they were all following Mike Tyson who was getting in a morning road run.

What was impressive wass the pace the 3 guys in the suits were keeping to stay behind him.

I've followed the story between Cody/TJ and how TJ left team Alpha Male and I tend to believe Faber and Cody's story over TJs. That is the main reason I would prefer Cody to win over TJ. A bunch of my buddies want TJ to win the fight as well. It should be a great fight!

 

The GGG and Canelo fight is in about a month. I can't wait for the rematch.

Fishing has always been #1.  Used to have a few other hobbies like wakeboarding, mountain biking, and cars...But I faded away from them. 

 

My only other hobby now is diving...My entire family dives - dad is an instructor so it's sort of in my blood.  Wish I could do it more but its somewhat limited here where I live.  Most of my diving these days is just helping my dad with his classes occasionally.  I probably could do more if I didn't fish so much...But fishing is #1 .

Definitely. I was looking at a new UFC t-shirt. I wish they had a TJ Dillashaw t shirt that said snake in the grass haha. Guess I will go with a Romero tshirt. When I first saw it, I was laughing so hard.

Interesting........I work the course on Mondays to help with my golf habit and look for balls a day or two a week to help with the fishing habit and diabetes.

After fishing , metal detecting is my next favorite hobby . i also   like to shoot 22's , hunt small game ,  search for  mushrooms and Indian artifacts .

I play collegiate baseball so it's not so much a hobby as it is a job... but other hobbies of mine include baseball glove collecting, and I even have a modest fragrance (cologne) collection.  I also have a great appreciation for small leather goods.

 

Working as a hitting instructor/coach, studying, watching the Brewers, and fishing take up the remainder of my free time.

Haha definitely. He's 41 years old and so muscular it's crazy. Did you see Paulo Costa called out Romero? That would be an awesome fight.

Yeah they booked it. If costa let's Romero hit him like Uriah Hall did he's going to sleep. Probably in an extremely violent manner

Dang. I just saw they booked it for UFC 230 at Madison Square Garden. That will be an awesome fight. I heard that the UFC is waiting to announce McGregor vs Khabib at UFC 229 in October in Las Vegas. Have you heard anything about it?

1965 GTO

I've had it since '92 and slowly restored it. 

Original engine and drivetrain but when I bought it, it had the wrong paint color for the year, the rally wheels were long gone and it had a few other mod's so I just left it as is and slowly brought her back to life. 

It paid off as she won a Concours award in the modified division at the GTO Nationals a few years later.
