Gotta say, I was disappointed in the low score. I prefer high-flying offense, but

that's me.

Edelman was phenomenal, clutch. Deserves MVP hands-down. Second on my list

would have been Michel. He was also clutch.

Congrats to the Pats and the GOAT.

Would love to see the chiefs in it next year. Hunt dug his own grave though

Of all the things that happened or didn't happen during the Super Bowl, this was best thing I saw all night.

This happened at friends house.....  Made me laugh...

I spent most of the night watching Wallykazam and making dinner for the family thankfully. The little bit I did watch was a snoozefest.

I really think the Chiefs will be there. I love watching Mahomes play. Kelce is a stud, Tyreke Hill is so good. One more season of experience and I think they might be the team. If not for the Kareem Hunt incident this year, I was sure they were the team to beat.

Chiefs could have got there and it wasn’t the loss of hunt, twice they didn’t stop New England to secure a win, field goal as time expired and ot touchdown. Defense was their problem not the stable of stud running backs they have.

That was a boring game. Turned it off in the third period and went to bed.

Some the commercials were good but not up to past standards.

The commercial I liked best was the Hall of Famers playing football at the banquet. I have no idea what was being advertised but it was a great commercial and it was wonderful to see the old guys running around again, especially the "Immaculate Reception" recreation.

I remember 1964 when #8 LSU defeated Toolame 13-3 in the old Sugar Bowl stadium. That was a boring game, too. The Fighting Tigers looked like they did not want to be there and were waiting to head down to the French Quarter when the game ended.

The #7 ranked Fighting Tigers went back to the Sugar Bowl a month later and defeated Syracuse 13-10.

What commercials did you like and your thoughts on the game?

I also liked the immaculate reception commercial and the one where someone was texting something like “thanks for being there for me” and the reply was “I’m here. Outside. This is your lyft driver”

Not this year, but I wouldn't be surprised if Mahomes is the next Tom Brady (or the next closest player). He had the best rookie season for a quarterback ever, and as he demonstrated in the AFC conference championship game, he is no Tony Romo either.

I gotta say, the Patriots defense surprised me. Last year, they'd make the worst third string quarterback in the league look like Joe Montana but they were really good this year. They were good all postseason long, but I thought if the Patriots were going to win last night, they would have had to score around 30 and get a two touchdown lead in the first quarter and demoralize the Rams. But was I ever wrong about that. Sure, Goff was absolutely terrible as he could not throw a bullet pass 10 yards down the field -- any pass over 10 yards was a weak high lob with a high chance of being picked off and he got lucky all night that only that one was picked off, but the Pats didn't leave open receivers either and stopped the run. Reminded me of the first three Super Bowls.

But what was even more impressive was the Rams defense holding the Patriots to only 13. Brady who I think is easily the best quarterback at reading defenses to ever play the game, wasn't able to read their defense all night which really says something.

He didnt have time to read, that was the difference. They were in his face constantly.

Congrats to the Patriots, they outplayed teams that were statistically better the last 3 games to win the Super Bowl.  I would say this was probably their most impressive Super Bowl run & win.

I would like to address the above comments about "haters" in a calm, rational & hopefully non-insulting manner.  The typical narrative is that people dislike Tom Brady & the Patriots because they have had success.  I believe this explanation is incorrect.  I don't know if it will change any minds, but I do want to set the record straight for at least one person (me) who gets classified as such.

I dislike Tom Brady because of his personality and the way he carries himself.  At the same time, I credit him with being the most successful quarterback of his era.  One can hold both opinions at the same time, one does negate the other.  I like Bill Belichick, have no qualms about the way he deals with the press or carries himself and respect the way he runs his team and the success he has had.  I dislike Robert Kraft, he embodies alot of traits I find distasteful.  Doesn't mean he is a horrible person, or maybe doesn't have some good traits, I just don't like the the public image he has chosen and the way he comes across.  So as a whole, I dislike the Patriots organization.  Toss in the culture of the area they are from and their fans & they are a team I just don't like.  BTW, I don't like the culture of Los Angeles either, so it isn't an East Coast/West Coast thing.

Now none of this has anything to do with the Patriots success or failure, it has to do with individuals.  I disliked Rex Ryan when he coached the Jets, who never made it to a Super Bowl.  I liked Terry Bradshaw, even if one of his Super Bowl victories came against the Rams.  It is an individual thing, and ones abilities or success's don't play into it.

Ironically, after Brady's first 2 years in the league, I found him likable while Belichick seemed like an old curmudgeon.  Over time, I saw Belichick's seemingly rough edges as nothing more than a leadership style that he needed for the area he was coaching.  His consistency and interaction with others in his profession were admirable, I changed my opinion of him.  In the meantime, Brady morphed from a humble, confident young man into what I can only describe as a Dbag.  His actions & words changed as he had success (or maybe what he truly was all along came to the surface).  So for me, I don't dislike Tom Brady because of his success, rather I dislike Tom Brady because of the person he has allowed himself to change into as he has had success.

So thats why I dislike the Patriots and can at the same time congratulate them on their win.

The man wears UGG boots, might as well dislike him for that too.

I'm just glad I am not famous, people dislike you and they don't even know you.

BTW, a lot of people hated Jordan for that same reason. Maybe there is something to that "personality" that equals greatness.

I don't think so, because you can take Magic & Larry Bird, two successful fierce competitors with very different personalities and I find them both likable off the court.  Kobe Bryant, also a very fierce competitor with success, not likable even though he played for the team I root for.  Bill Russell, probably the most successful professional athlete, immensely likable to me off the court.  When Russell was asked for an autograph, he would refuse but then say "if you want to sit down and chat for 5 minutes, I can do that".

Those 4 are examples of athletic greatness, but four different personalities (outgoing, reserved, charismatic, etc).  You can be a jerk and be a great, highly competitive athlete, but I don't believe you have to be the first to be the second.  Some people, successful or not, are just not likable.

Patriots and Belichick always seem to find a way...

Most importantly though - 2 weeks until baseball!

Bellichick is playing chess and everyone else is playing checkers. The rams somehow threw Brady off even though they only hit him once or twice, only problem is they left their entire offense somewhwere out in the desert. It will be interesting to hear what in the world is up with Todd gurley. I can’t type all the reasons I’m a pats hater like @OCdockskipper took the time to do, all I can say is sports hatred is totally normal and I would hate the pats regardless of winning or losing (and I don’t think I’m going out on a limb to say I’m not alone in that endeavor). I don’t think any fan should be required to cheer for all 32 teams. Every fan hates some team, if they don’t they are just casual fans

Wait, I thought lebron was light years better than Jordan?? (Sarcasm )

I think there is a difference between more talented & better.  One could argue the Rams were a more talented team, but the Patriots were better.  Dan Marino was one of the most talented QBs in NFL history, but there are about a dozen others who were better.

Yap.  I saw this on Facebook and she said it was her house.  That was not the case.  She changed it to a shared post from the original person.

Funny thing, I saw picture where somebody has a pillow that matches his shirt as well.

I wouldn't say it was the worst half time show but it was not anything memorable.

Just saw that the tv ratings for the game was the lowest in a decade.

Other than for both the NE and LA markets.

One article I read blamed it partially on the NO market which had a rating about half of those two.

Not surprised.
