Pat's fans should always be grateful to the Jets. If NY Jet linebacker, Mo Lewis didn't level Drew Bledsoe, Brady would have never come off the bench and start your dynasty.

And yes that's my graveyard of hopes and dreams that the Jets will win another Superbowl in my lifetime.

wouldn't have started that game, but a game soon after. He was kept as the 3rd qb on the depth chart. He was their guy, they haven't kept a 3rd qb since.

I don't have a dog in this fight, but here is my prediction:

Patriots 45

   Rams 31

I think you are close but in my opinion the rams won't score that many and the Pats will jump out to an early lead and put the pedal down. I got the Pats 45 and the Rams 20. Having said that, I'm rooting for the Rams to win.

Sam, the whining is getting annoying.  If your wife ran off with a married man, would you blame the other spouse?  Of course not, but that is exactly what you are doing.

If you want to be mad at the refs, fine, go for it.  They missed a ton of calls, including the one that you are obsessed with.  If you want to be mad at the Saints, do it.  They had chances to win the game and failed and their coach made some bad decisions late that hurt them.

But blaming the Rams?  C'mon man!!  All they did was win the game on the field.  You don't seem like the kind of guy who kicks the dog after a bad day at work, so give it a rest.

Needed to blow off steam. Just can't get my hands around a ref standing there, watching the play, and not throwing the flag. Or the refs having a pow-wow and then throwing the flag.

Not mad at the Saints. Mad at the refs. Seems the NFL may be fixed and we never knew it. Too much secrecy behind the officiating. Cutting the replay guy in the booth out of the equation is wrong. Both teams want a fair and honest game. And we, the public, want it too. We did not get it.

So we don't' watch the game; we don't travel to Atlanta for the game; we don't watch the commercials during the game. That is about all we can do.

Hopefully the NFL will not renew the refs contracts next year.

End of rant although I have been having a good time.

Anything involving money has and will be "fixed". I always thought it was too coincidental that a team named the patriots, an enormous underdog, won the super bowl the year 911 happened.

Oh boy. Let's hear the top 9. When listing them, be sure it's the same coach and same best player, ie jackson/jordan.

In no particular order...

Candiens in the 70's winning 4 straight
UCLA winning 3 with Alcindor

UCLA winning 3 with Walton

Oilers with gretzky wining 5 i think in like 7 or 8 years
Boston winning 11 out of 13
Lakers 5 in the 80's going 8 times
Bulls 6 out of 8
Steelers 4 out of 6 years winning in the 70's

Yankees of the 90's
Uconn women's basketball dominating for pretty much this entire millennium

then i'd put the patriots first run as the only dynasty they have
Patriots 2001-2004
Cowboys 90's but they switched coaches
49ers of the 80's could be there too

I am sure i missed some others as well like college football but i don't follow it much.

Have you googled it? 2012 SB winner was the NY Giants, 2011 was the Packers. I thought you were going for a NY connection with the whole Sept. 11 thing? Unless you are saying they Lizard People accurately predicted the Packers would win the SB and Aaron Rodger's rise to stardom?

Sept 11 2001. Sorry you are confused as to when the largest tragedy in american history happened. Perhaps a lizard person took control of your mind, erasing memory and sensibility.

You are right. My bad. Confused 2001 with 2011. The lizard people haven't gotten to me yet. The tin foil hat stops them.

9/11 stands for September 11, 2001.  The Patriots won the Super Bowl for the 2001 season, even though it was played in February of 2002.

That was the patriotism/Patriots winning connection.  The Diamondbacks ruined the baseball version of that, beating the Yankees in October 2001 World Series.

Not 2011 year, 2012 Super Bowl. 911 occurred in 2001 and the Pats won the 2002 Super Bowl. Follow?

Yea, I gotta stop multi-tasking cause it never ends well. I'm making dinner and trying to find a good Bday present for my nephew all while trying to catch up with the forum.

I understand blowing off steam, I don't begrudge you that.  I am just trying to toss a few things for you to consider as you do it (which is really stupid on my part, who wants to list to anyone while blowing off steam ?).

As far as a fix, there was a blown call earlier in the game when Goff is trying to score.  He gets by a Saints defender who reaches out, catches his facemask and turns Goffs head nearly 90 degrees.  Goff continues on & is tackled around the two, no call.  That was an obvious call as well that was missed & much like the missed call at the end of the game, changed the game.  The Rams would have had a 1st down at the one, instead they settled for a field goal.

What I'm asking you to look at is if there was a fix in, why did the refs let that call go?  The Saints had no penalties called on them the entire first half.  If there was a fix in, don't you think the refs would have found something to call on the Saints, especially with the Rams trailing?  I would suggest that the fix wasn't in, but rather that the game was poorly officiated, it went way too far to the point of "letting them play".  If the Rams had lost, I would have been ticked and the scenario might have been you telling me how the poor officiating didn't cost the Rams the game.

I hear you Sam, I just don't think being ticked at the Rams is the right thing.  I would hope I wouldn't harbor any ill-will against the Saints had the roles been reversed.  My hope is that all of us fans can reunite once again in our loathing of the Patriots...?

in no way shape or form could the NFL have games be "fixed" involving refs unless they are going rogue.  Vegas would lose way more money than they would get out of the deal and they are usually the ones who pick up on the games with point shaving etc...since it hits their bottom line.  Way to many hands in the pot to make a game fixed.

Looks like this thread needs to get back on track with Superbowl predictions and Patriots hating!! My prediction at the beginning of every season is always the same:

"Anybody but the Patriots!!!!!!"

So my prediction is Rams win 79-3.

Of all the projects he could have done his parents allowed him to belittle someone? Great way to show kids the right way to treat others.

Maybe don't cheat if you don't want to be called out? Just a thought

I guess your missing the point. Allowing an 8 year old to attempt to shame someone, because that's what that project is about, is tick poor parenting.
