I was considering driving up to Kansas City for the game, but "no degrees" and the probability

of snow throughout the trip has put watching it live and in person out of play.  If you live close

and can stand the cold I suspect tickets at the gate will be readily available for this "sold out" event.

Personally, I like to sit down when I watch football.  You don't sit down in that place except during time out.  I'll stay by the fire and watch on the big screen TV.

I live 1/2 hour away from arrowhead. I will be watching it from my living room.

Wow. You could suit up and play for new England! You're in better shape than half the team and accustomed to the cold......

Hahaha! I had to pump the brakes on Maxwell House a couple hours ago. I was pointing out something to a customer earlier and my hand was shaking like crazy. Cold weather makes coffee go down too easily......

Looks like the weather forecast has improved dramatically for the Chiefs/ Patriot game Sunday night.

Instead of "NO DEGREES" it looks like maybe 21.

When the Chiefs and Patriots face off in the AFC championship game on Sunday, they’ll do so on a fresh playing surface.

The Chiefs grounds crew has been hard at work the past several days to get the turf at Arrowhead Stadium in good condition after a snowy divisional playoff game against the Colts. The Chiefs hadn’t planned on resodding the field, but they weren’t left with much of a choice on account of the condition the field was left in following Saturday’s game.

Let's hope the same defense that played last week, comes tomorrow.

I hate KC..

I am not that fond of Buffalo, but we will not hold that against you. Maybe next year the Bills will do better?.

I actually have nothing against the Buffalo area.Common sense said to let this comment go. Unfortunately my ego overrode common sense.

Russ, I hope the defense does well also. I'm 35 miles north of KC, so naturally I'm pulling for the Chiefs. Should be a great game. May the best team win!

I am a Kansas City area transplant. Been here 6 years. I have adopted the Chiefs as my hometown team. I follow them

if they are winning or losing.

All 32 years I've been a Chief's fan have ended in disappointment. Even if this season ends today, for the first time in my life they have a QB that can get them there and that's exciting and finally something to be hopeful for and look forward to.

I can't hate Tom, he's had an amazing and long career, but I hope he doesn't have enough left in the tank for this one. I can't bet against him though, he picked apart a much better defense last week and knows how to get it done when it matters most.

A couple of pregame thoughts this morning with a historical perspective:

A lot has been made of the recent playoff failures of the Chiefs and success's of the Patriots, causing many to say that the Patriots will win.  This line of conversation reminds me of 17 years back when the Patriots had a history filled with failure and their only 2 Super Bowl appearances resulted in blowout losses.  They were facing a Ram team that was considered immensely more talented and who had beaten them earlier in the year.  The problem with this equation was it was comparing past Patriot teams to the current Patriots team, who had not contributed to that losing history.

For the Rams versus the Saints, I think back to the Pittsburgh Steelers championship season at the start of Big Bens career.  During that playoff run, the focus was on Jerome Bettis, who was looking for his first Super Bowl ring and the defense of Steelers, who were questioned as to their ability to stop an awesome Colt offense.  There was not a lot of media pressure on the young Steeler QB.  It reminds me of the outlook on the Rams, the media focus on CJ Anderson and the Rams defense, with not much attention being paid to Jared Goff.

My prediction - Chiefs and Rams win today, with no clue as to what happens in the Super Bowl.

I agree. In my opinion the Chiefs/Patriots game will be determined by the Chiefs defense.

Chiefs offense usually has no problem scoring, but the defense has had some issues this year.
