Super User gim Posted January 6, 2019 Super User Posted January 6, 2019 I didn't realize the Colts were 1-5 at one point. To finish 10-6 is impressive. Houston also started 0-3 and finished 11-5. Both of those teams really defied the odds to even MAKE the playoffs. Quote

I'm going to say it's going to depend more on Andy Reid not out-coaching himself than anything. The defense isn't good, but they're good enough that if they can get the offense the ball an extra time or two that they should have a good chance of winning the game, provided Big Red doesn't get cute with the play calling like he's known to do. Regardless, who saw this season coming for Mahomes first season as QB? With their schedule, no way I'd have thought they'd be 12-4. I wouldn't have been confident in betting they'd make the playoffs even. Exciting times ahead if he can continue to develop. 1 Quote

That's the thing about a Bears/Rams matchup, it will be ugly one way or the other. If the Bears defense is able to control the game, they can ugly their way into a couple of scores and win the game like they did before. However, if the Rams offense can get up by 10 or 14 points, then the ugly goes the other way. The Rams offense won't press and they will be multi-dimensional (difficult for the Bears to control) while the Rams defense can then pin their ears back and force the Bears into playing a game they aren't good at. So you end up with a 15-6 Bears win like the Bears had earlier in the year or a 38-10 win by the Rams with the Bears offense committing 3 or 4 turnovers. Ugly either way. I am rooting for the Bears today because I want the Rams to prove themselves over teams that have beat them this year. I want McVay to show he has the ability to learn from losses and make the offensive adjustments to beat the Bears and the defensive adjustments to beat the Saints. I don't want the Rams backing into the Super Bowl, I want them to be the best team. Quote

Watching this Bears team play right now...at home..I'm not confident they can do much of anything on the road no matter who the face. This is going to be one tired defense next week...edit..if they can win. Quote

Super User Sam Posted January 7, 2019 Super User Posted January 7, 2019 The Rams and Saints will be a great game. Then it will be KC and New Orleans in the Super Bowl. The KC quarterback will be arrested for underage drinking in the French Quarter. Quote

I really feel like Mahomes is too smart to do anything that dumb. I also don't think they'll make it that far but they've only won 3 playoff games in my lifetime so I don't expect it to change until it does. Quote
Global Moderator Mike L Posted January 7, 2019 Global Moderator Posted January 7, 2019 Can't believe it! Just can't freakin believe it. Hits the post 5 times this year!! Have 2 cousins and 3 brothers in law at the game and they said there are police surrounding his car and ready to give him an escort !! Too good of an improvement over the last few years to have it end by a kicker who only has one job. Oh Well.. I gotta go and pass out ? Mike 2 Quote
Super User Gundog Posted January 7, 2019 Super User Posted January 7, 2019 Tough loss for the Bears but they got nothing to be upset about. Trubisky is the future of the Bears and I can see them in the playoffs next year. Their defense is amazing. Just a bad break. 2 Quote
Super User iabass8 Posted January 7, 2019 Super User Posted January 7, 2019 @Mike L Still the last Bear to win a playoff game! Rams Vs Saints in the NFC championship will be a fun one. 2 1 1 Quote
