zildjian Posted July 22, 2018 Posted July 22, 2018 hey guys, i have a Humminbird 1198c SI Combo unit up by the dash as my main sonar. i just noticed the auto chart zero lines card available on the humminbird website. my question is, can i use this to map out my lake? i always thought i needed a newer unit to be able to auto chart, but i've been reading that guys are using this card to chart lakes with 800 and 1100 series units, is this possible? if so, did humminbird come out with a software update to make this possible on older units? i've always wanted to chart my lake out, but i couldn't just purchase another unit just for this feature. any help would be great! Thanks, Zildjian Quote
Super User Team9nine Posted July 22, 2018 Super User Posted July 22, 2018 Check the Humminbird website for upgrades and compatibility for your specific unit. I had a 900 series that I was able to use the latest updates to make it AutoChart compatible. If you can do that, then you just need AutoChart program and the Zero line card (one came with the program) to save maps to. You can actually record to any SD card and then transfer using the AutoChart program on the computer, then save the map to the Zero line card. 2 Quote
