I need to make an upgrade.  I typically store my soft plastics in their original bags and then all in the free blue bassmaster bag.  Well I have blown a zipper and it's time to switch it up.  Does anyone make a bag of similar size that has nicer zippers.  I see bass mafia has some but that is a bit overkill.  I have check about every place I go and I can't find anything yet.

Keep them in their original packaging and put those into a gallon size Zip Loc bag that you can put in your tackle bag.

This is what I do. I replace the bags each winter and pare down whatever I didn't use or don't feel I need any longer this way and restock baits if needed.

A work in progress.  Elaztec has its own binder.  Finesse has a binder.  I have a bass pro double binder full of worms.  My trickworms and creature baits are in plano boxes.  So are my hard baits.  All stored on shelves and labeled by type of bait:  fluke, jerkbait, jig and pig, crankbait, etc.

I have a "Feel Free" bag by bass pro that is my "boat bag." Holds three plano boxes.  I take it on my kayak.  I have one box labeled "topwater", one labeled "middle" and one labeled "bottom baits".  I fill these as needed from my storage bags or boxes, depending on season, my mood or if I get a wild hair to try something.  I try to always have something new or different to try in each box, along with confidence baits.  I can't carry a lot in my kayak as a milk crate doesn't fit, and I have a bad back that makes twisting around to get stuff more difficult.

The boat bag has a front pocket for leader line, hook box,  sunscreen and bug spray.  Has two holders for pliers, and side pockets.  I currently have jars of pork frogs in one, Megastrike scent in the other with first aid kit.  Boomerang tool goes on the clip.  Forceps (surgical needle driver with cutting blade) and whistle on lanyard around my neck.

The only problem with my system is that the boxes can be hard to remove from the bag.  I also have a plano bag  but it has fewer pockets.  I like that it has no zippers.  Hate zippers!  Work in progress.  Sorry for the crap photos.

I use lots of Elaztec products.  I have found that they ruin pvc boxes if taken out of their original packages.  I have tried storing them in their packages in binders.  The turn out flat if not used in a short time.  So I have taken the rings and sheets out of some binder and have put the packages in them.  It takes up more room in the boat but is easier to see and use (no zippers) plus they aren't cramped up and don't go flat.

This is good to know.  What happens when they are in boxes?

I use the BPS bags like NorthernBasser. I have not had a problem with any of my soft plastics. They are packed pretty full but the baits are okay.

I'd like to add that I keep the plastics in their original bags, and put those bags in the binder sheets.

You ca fit 40+ bags in one double binder. Plus there are little zip pockets on the inside for hooks, weights etc.

Plano 3700's for the very common ones

Bags in Tupperware for the rest

I also suggest putting a piece of scotch tape over the label of the original bag.  I had lots of bags get wet during a long rainy day and almost all of my labels peeled off.

This is what I use. I believe these were made in the 80's. They have been great bags, wish they still made them.

I also keep my soft plastics in their original packaging. One of my binder bags is around 15 years old and still holding up okay.
