RealtreeByGod Posted July 21, 2018 Posted July 21, 2018 Something like a 1/0, 1/16oz size maybe. I only looked at a few brands and they all tend to have 3/0 as their smallest size. The bass seem to like the smaller size right now, but I hate how slow they sink. Quote

As much as I like flukes, the only method of fishing I have any confidence in is the quick twitch + pausing and letting it take a long swooping dive. Problem is, Fluke Jrs don't always like to do that and will often get picked up in the current and pull the line horizontal instead. Quote
Super User Angry John Posted July 22, 2018 Super User Posted July 22, 2018 It may change the action a little and add some flash. They come off easy in 5 seconds if you want it off. Quote

craww Posted July 22, 2018 Posted July 22, 2018 You can make your own in any hook you like in no time. I take a pair of nail pullers & nip however much lead needed off a random sinker. Lay it down and give it 3 or 4 wacks with the top of the pullers till flat. Press down with in the middle w/a chisel to create a channel for the hook to lay in and squeeze it around the hook w/pliers. Super glue gel (make sure its gel) seals it up so it dont spin. It sounds like a bit of a hassle but it takes less than a minute. I sometimes dab some white nail polish on to match the plastic. 1 Quote
Super User OkobojiEagle Posted July 22, 2018 Super User Posted July 22, 2018 Paneling nails inserted into the fluke. Clip to the length you want and insert into the fluke. Location of insertion will allow fine tuning of bait fall. oe 2 Quote

Tom I've done this. Or I just use a 1/32 or 1/16 oz Bull Shot (bullet split shot) in front of the hook. I like the super slow fall rate, but I only fish waters up to about 15 feet. Quote

Super User Chris at Tech Posted July 22, 2018 Super User Posted July 22, 2018 Try the owner 3/0 as I think the fit will be good. Moaner makes a weighted Stroker in 2/0 as well Quote

offsidewing Posted July 23, 2018 Posted July 23, 2018 Magic potion: get a 1/8th oz bell weight. After you hook the head/nose of the fluke, slip the bell weight onto the hook. Then pierce the body of the fluke as normal. The bell weight will hang on the hook below the belly of the fluke. Change the weight of the bell to change fall rate and/or depth of retrieve. Quote
