AggieBassin10 Posted July 13, 2018 Posted July 13, 2018 Anyone know any good places (websites or physical vendors) to buy a used bass boat for a reasonable price (preferably less than $25,000 can be aluminum or fiberglass)? I'm on the Southwest side of Houston (Richmond/Rosenberg area) if you have a request for physical vender. Thanks guys Quote
Hez Posted July 13, 2018 Posted July 13, 2018 *** is a website that specializes in selling used boats. You might have to google it, don't think we can post the website address here LOL...nevermind Quote
Elkins45 Posted July 13, 2018 Posted July 13, 2018 I found my boat on Craigslist. It was three hours away, but it was priced well and looked like it had just rolled off the showroom floor despite being 10 years old. It took a few weeks of checking and a couple of dead ends, but it worked out great in the end. Quote
kenmitch Posted July 13, 2018 Posted July 13, 2018 You can buy new for less as long as your not too picky. I guess there is an advantage to used as the last guy get's to eat the depreciation. Quote

It's really up to the purchaser if they meet there needs or not. There are a lot of variables on bass boats that can factor in for the end user. Things like rod lockers, storage compartments, electronics, engine, trolling motors, boat layout, etc can sway one from one boat to another for example. Quote
AggieBassin10 Posted July 14, 2018 Author Posted July 14, 2018 Ok so no one has really answered my question. I put $25,000 just to aim a little high because if I put my real value (under $20,000) I was worried I'd get the age old "if you spend a little more..." ? I'd rather not debate used v. new and honestly I don't care if I buy new or used as long as it's reasonably priced. So any suggestions on ALL bassboats under $25,00. Thanks guys ? Quote

Super User fishnkamp Posted July 16, 2018 Super User Posted July 16, 2018 You need to do a little research. I spent 5 minutes doing so here are some nice boats to go look at not too far from you. https://houston.craigslist.org/boa/d/2012-xpress-19-aluminum-bass/6640605975.html They are asking $22,000 They also have a nice looking 2013 Nitro Z-6 for $17,000. It is powered by a 115. https://www.texasmarine.com/default.asp?page=xPreOwnedInventoryDetail&id=5405431&p=2&s=Year&d=D&fr=xPreOwnedInventory https://www.captkirks.com/default.asp?page=xPreOwnedInventoryDetail&id=5234287&p=1&s=Year&d=D&t=preowned&fr=xPreOwnedInventory That is a used 2017 G3 17 PFX. New it retails over $26,000 The dealership is selling it for $15,995. All I did was a quick craigslist search as well as a google search for boat dealers in the Houston area. Good luck in your search, but it does take a bit of time doing some research. 1 Quote
Super User TOXIC Posted July 16, 2018 Super User Posted July 16, 2018 No one is going to be able to find you a boat. Boats are a very personal purchase. Now, if you list manufacturer, length, year range, motor size and distance willing to travel, you might be able to get some constructive answers. It would be worth your while to narrow your choice down by a few factors and google what you want to get specific results. I vowed to never buy anything off Craigslist but when I was looking for a boat (very open to all models but had to be 20ft minimum, dual axle, 225hp minimum) I had a friend who noticed a listing on C-List and after 3 visits and a water test I bought it and luckily it was local. I have a friend who bought an Elite Anglers boat and we traveled 2 states away to pick it up. Good luck in your search, To me that was 1/2 the fun. Quote
