Mike Mirowski Posted July 13, 2018 Posted July 13, 2018 So the river has been as high as 23’ above normal after months of waiting for it to become wadable “ favorite way to fish the small jaws” what should I expect heading out Sunday for 1st time this year would’ve been 20 times by now Quote
Fairtax4me Posted July 13, 2018 Posted July 13, 2018 Depends how much rain you've got in the last week or so, but I would expect maybe slightly above average water level, current to match, but good water clarity and good conditions otherwise. Quote

I waded around the Williamsport, MD area and had slightly above average for midsummer and good clarity though not crystal clear. @Mike Mirowski I do 99% of my fishing on the Upper Potomac and wading for smallmouth is my favorite thing to do. What section of the river do you fish? 1 Quote
patred Posted July 19, 2018 Posted July 19, 2018 River was pretty close to ideal summer conditions when I waded it last Saturday and Sunday. Probably a half foot or so higher than normal, and still slightly stained. Only caught five fish total but four were on topwaters. And although nothing really of size (biggest 14"), they all pummeled the lures and made crazy jumps after getting hooked. Pat Quote
