So I am going to be getting a new ultralight combo for catching panfish and trout and I'm curious about others opinions on my choices for rod/reel I want to stay in the range of 150ish bucks for rod and reel combined

Rod:

Daiwa presso 6ft ultralight

Reels:

Pfluger president

Pfluger president xt

Daiwa RG

I have seen good reviews for the rod and all the reels but I am not sure what reel to get. does anyone have experience with these reels and if so give me you thoughts please :) and also what size should I get them in?

I am a Shimano baitcaster fan, but my two spinning reels are 2500 size Daiwas. One is a Capricorn and other is an Exceler.  Basically the same reels. Excellent reels.

For a 6' rod, I would stay in the 500 to 1000 size range (it's a 20 size in the Pflueger lineup). I have a Daiwa Fuego 1000A on my favorite 6' ultralight combo with 4lb Sniper, and it's an absolute joy to fish. I've found that anything bigger than the 1000 sized frames ends up feeling clunky on such a small rod.
