Lake temp's

[Oregon Native]

Ok....curious....we had temps up to 91 on the water here in Knoxville on a small lake I fish quite a bit.  Curious what temps you all are fishing in your areas.

Up here in central Ontario, I’ve been seeing anywhere from 75 to about 80, which is about the warmest it usually gets here in the summer. 91 would be an extreme for very shallow or small lakes around here.

88 here at Ray Roberts.  In August it'll be just below a steady boil.

112 yesterday record heat and today is supposed to be the same. Usually in the 90's  here in July.

Water temps in the lake have been 82-85 in the morning and topping out at 91 in the early afternoon the past 2 weeks which makes them pretty predictable.

Air temps in the Lower Hudson Valley NY have been in the mid 90's for a week. Local lakes have been hellishly non productive. Finally caught a decent fish yesterday on a spectacular topwater hit. But that was it.

Air temps are now in 90s -pushing 100.

Air temp on the water at the lake, lake temp surface water temp is about 80 degrees, normal is around 75 in July.

If the surface water temps get over 90, the bass either go deeper to find cooler water or under weed mats for cooler water with survivable DO levels.

Central Illinois here.  Home lake is about 5000 acres and max of about 60ft deep/average 15ft.  It's a man-made cooling lake.  Surface temps are about 85 during the day.  By the end of summer it will be around 89.

Rivers I fish are about 85-87. 

Brackish marsh about 87-89.

I fish a small (45 acres) lake  pretty regular, last reading at surface temp was 93 degrees.

Mid 80's to low 90's for the most part. Get to certain parts of the power plant lakes and my temp gauge starts flashing when it hits 99*

We've had an unusually cool start to summer here in the northwest. Which has really thrown off the fishing, interestingly enough though, it's had positive effects on some lakes and negative effects on others. Morning surface temps have been around 66-69 degrees. I've always found those morning temps to be pretty indicative of total water column temps throughout the day.

Surface temps rising to 71-73 degrees. This time last year we averaged about 7 degrees warmer by now.

Wow...interesting....had no idea that water temps would be that  much cooler in parts of the US I figured would be warmer.  Thanks all.

It’s still in the 70s in downtown knoxville. Jumped into the holston the other day and it was cooooold. Also fished chilhowee a week ago and the upper end was in the 50s, feels crazy driving a boat in 50 degree Water with the air in tthr 90s. My boat was sweating profusely! If you are seeking cooler water on your home lake @Oregon Native, just drive up toward Clinton!

Have heard it would take quit a boat ride....waters warm way up!!  That's amazing the temps your seeing.

Went out Thursday with a friend on his boat. The air temp had been in the 90's. Water temp was 87 degrees. We caught about 12 total which amazed me. Didn't think we would catch anything.

Well they have cut back the flow from Douglas and Cherokee dams so it may start warming up where I live. The lower end of ft Loudoun is up into  the 80s I'm  sure, I just always fish the upper end because it's so close to home. The top end of chilhowee lake is always ice cold, makes a crazy fog sometimes in summer

Wow!!   It might be worth a 4 hour drive to find some cooler water.  Never been that far up the Tennessee River.  I had no idea the water would be that cold.  Kentucky lake was 86 last time I checked.

I would rather fish hot water honestly hahah. Ky lake is much better Fishing than ft loudoun lake from what I have always heard.

Don't get me wrong,  I love KY lake. But when the water temp is approaching 90, all the good fish are on the main river ledges.  If they're pulling current,  I can catch em.  If there's no current,  it's tough.
