Tail deformity??

Any idea of what’s going on with the tail? Looks symmetric so I’m assuming it’s not an injury.

Hello and welcome to the forum. I don't have a clue as to what happened to the tail on your fish. Looks like a good one.

Looks to me like it was an injury when the fish was younger, perhaps a pike or turtle tried to grab it, or it could be a split from being in an old crappy nylon net.
