JWall14 Posted June 30, 2018 Posted June 30, 2018 Does anyone know of good smallie creeks in northern Illinois? Always wanted to catch one in creeks but never have. Quote
Super User Scott F Posted June 30, 2018 Super User Posted June 30, 2018 The DuPage River (East Branch, West Branch and the main river) is a big creek but wadable it’s entire length. Hickory Creek where it runs through New Lenox is another but is mostly pretty small bass. Is there a reason you only mentioned creeks and not rivers? 1 Quote
JWall14 Posted June 30, 2018 Author Posted June 30, 2018 Thanks Scott, no I just think creek smallies seems easier to locate. I would like to fish rivers too though. Quote
Bdnoble84 Posted July 2, 2018 Posted July 2, 2018 What part of Northern illinois you talking? There are a few Quote
Bdnoble84 Posted July 4, 2018 Posted July 4, 2018 Not familiar with streams in that area. I know the fax has some potential. Not sure on much else though 1 Quote
SMB101 Posted July 6, 2018 Posted July 6, 2018 Lower Fox River from S. Elgin and on. Not seen any smallies in feeder creeks but have heard of them being there when high waters are present. Wading is awesome with good population of smallies. 1 Quote
