Matthew Posted June 28, 2018 Posted June 28, 2018 How is everyone? I’m moving to Pigeon Forge, TN, and I just wanted some advice on the best rivers to kayak fish for smallies. Also, info on drop in / pull out locations. All recommendations would be gladly appreciated! 1 Quote
LegendaryBassin Posted June 28, 2018 Posted June 28, 2018 There is a lot of places to fish near Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. I use to go up there fishing a lot but since the fire, I am not even sure the places are accessible. Not quite sure how the surrounding area is doing. I mostly fished for rainbow, brook, brown trout when I was there. https://www.al.com/news/index.ssf/2016/12/gatlinburg_fire_juvenile_suspe.html Quote
BuzzHudson19c Posted June 29, 2018 Posted June 29, 2018 I just want it to be noted that I am very jealous of you. I vacationed in that area a few years back and I want to live there until I die, but I am stuck in in The People's Republic of New York for the time being. I only fished a little bit on my trip on the pigeon river. Few smallies, but nothing to write home about. Let us know how you make out. Quote
Global Moderator TnRiver46 Posted June 29, 2018 Global Moderator Posted June 29, 2018 It flooded up into the woods today! There are tons of places to put in, the smallmouth Fishing is much better in spring than any other time of year Quote
Chance_Taker4 Posted June 29, 2018 Posted June 29, 2018 little pigeon river. I prefer to fish the stretch in Townsend. Another place and I can't remember the name of the water but there is a small river almost a creek that follows the Cades Cove access road. Its been a while since I have fished down there. Used to live in Sevierville and Cocker Creek. 1 Quote
