I plan on hitting a lake close to home where I know some big, but hard to catch bass are. I plan to throw some swimbaits in the 3/4 ounce range...this water is really clear. What would yall reccomend? Also there are lots of yellow perch in this lake and I can only assume that the bass feed on them because of the numbers that are there. Has anyone ever tried the live target yellow perch swimbaits? I plan to pick up a few and throw them around while I'm there.

I haven't used them (although I hear they work very well in the northeast so I'm interested in trying them), but Scott Martin uses 17-20lb fluro or mono for them and occasionally 25lb. I imagine many people would also use braid to fluro leader as well. I linked the video with Scott Martin below.

Swim baits with trebles I throw up to 3 Oz on yhb in 15lb.  I have also used 12 yhb on the 175 deps with no issues but as it gets warmer I go up to 15 because the bas's have way more fight then at 55 degrees.  Big jig hook bottom baits from hud 68s or 8 inches I start and finish at 20 yhb.  Never used heavier line than 20 so far but a lot of guys like 25 or 30 on large baits like the mother and deps 250.  Because of knot strength if fishing flouocarbon I would go a little stronger.  I am assuming you mean 3 or 4 ounce not 3/4 ounce.
