I have been eyeballin a Genesis II.   I really don't need another rod, but I like the looks of the handle and foregrip on it.  I hope you love it!

I took those pics earlier and I did get to use it! Omg I love it. Super lightweight, the handle is perfect and has enough length to use as leverage. A very good rod and I think I’ll use only irod from now on for all setups

That's awesome to hear!   Glad you love it.   Post if you buy another one. I am interested to hear how you like them as well.

Congratulations.  A very nice looking combo.  I hear the new Revos are very nice.  Like my Gen1 STX-L a lot.  I would have to put my Helios with green accents on that rod.  :teeth:

I would like to try an iRod.  Fred's Magic Stick gets great reviews, but I don't fish heavier lures enough to justify another Heavy power rod.  Gabe's Rip Rap Special is lookin' good.  :D

Revos are great reels. They hold up to anything and still keep casting.

Sooo second time out with the revos and it broke!!i was working my frog like normal.  Reeled in and went to make a cast and the side plate fell right off and into the he water.. broke after the second day. @new2BC4bass so I’m disappointed ..going back to my normal reel

That sucks.   A professional reel repairman on another site bought a Gen4 (don't remember model) and apparently is really liking it.  You can get bad specimens from any manufacturer.  I bought a new T3 1016 that I had a problem with out of the box.  That reel cost a lot more than the SX.

What is your normal reel?

Something vibrated loose and you didn't feel or notice it. Contact whomever you purchased from and see if they will give you an exchange reel or order the replacement parts. You couldn't give me a Abu reel made in China.

Yeah I just bought it so I have the receipt still.  I bought it from cabelas this past week. I’m sure they would return or exchange it. And @new2BC4bass I usually use daiwa or quantum

Man, sad to hear what happened! I was looking at this reel last year and finally picked it up myself a couple weekends ago. Only gotten it out once so far but it performed flawlessly! Hopefully you just got a bad egg. I've heard great things otherwise.
