I have fished out of most brands of boats and like them all, to me a boat is a boat. I was just wondering what people thought about legends, and what they are like to fish out of? They look pretty sweet to me...

I have been in a legend and it is a sweet boat- I owned a cobra wich is basically the same hull design- very stable and well built.  It is not the fastest hull out there do to its weight but a very well designed bass boat.

The Legends are basically the same boat in design and layout as the old glass Fisher FX Tournament series boats.  I have two friends that own them and I have fished out of them and they are AWESOME! Wish I had the money to get one. :)

John Storie, originally of Champion fame, had a non-compete deal when he left Champion which wouldn't allow him to build a hull like the Champion so, as the story goes, he copied a 482 Ranger, made some modifications to the hull and the Cobra/Viper boat companies came into existance.  They made the Fisher's in the same plant. Same hull.  Storie left Cobra and started Hawk boats with basically the same mold.  Hawk was bought out by Legend in 2001 when Hawk was about to go out of business.  I'm not 100% certain but I believe the new Legend owners have changed the hull from the original mold designs they got from the buyout.

John Storie designed all of the above mentioned hulls, making more improvements along the way. The LEGEND boat company by itself is Awesome, the customer service is AWESOME and the fit and finish is the best in the industry. The hull performs great in rough water and is still a fairly fast boat for the soft ride. Most Legends reach low to mid 70's loaded.

The LE hull is the John Storie design that was slightly changed at Legend when legend bought the molds (NEVER BOUGHT OUT HAWK) and the new ALPHA Series is a straight Legend created design. Both are flat out awesome boats. You may think I am just spitting these words out of my mouth because they are one of my sponsors, but as a a non boater for 3 years, I have ridden and fished out of many boats and once I fished in a Legend, I knew that is what I wanted.

If you need any more info, just PM me.

Nick not only hit the nail on the head but drove it home as well  :)

A good friend of mine has a LE-21 with a Yamaha 3.3 300 HP V-Max Series 2 on the back, I've ran the boat on the bend in both dead calm and 3 ½' chop; it will run with anything out there at top end, hole shot, & smooth dry ride.
