I busted the leaf spring on my right axle on my boat trailer going around the driveway curb too sharply tonight. My fender is also bent to where my tire won't spin well. My boat is a 19' Nitro with a Tracker Trailstar trailer. The leaf springs are three leaf, are either 3500 or 4500 pound capacity. Do you know which spring I need. Is it possible I broke the entire axle? Or do I just need to bend the fender back into place after I replace the spring?

I'd have a professional look at it, or at least provide a bunch of photos for folks here to look at...

...but I'd tilt hard toward option #1...

Option number 1 as in broken axle? We are going to take the tire off tomorrow and look at it.

If you have a Northern Tool store near you, they will probably have everything you need.  Might want to make sure you didn't bend the spindle also, or damage a bearing.

Ended up just needing a new leaf spring (changed the other one too for the other axle) and the fender needed bent back into place. Fixed for $130. Axle, spindle and bearing are good to go.
