I am just learning about swim baits mostly the smaller ones 4 inches and less. What are some of yalls favorite swim baits and hooks in weedless and exposed hook?

In the 4" size the Top Hook and Weedless Huddleston Shads can't be beat.  Also like the fall on the California Reservoir Lures Weightless Slim Thrashers.

For a finesse swimbait I use a Keitech 3.5" Swing Impact on a Keitech Super Round 1/16 #1 Tungsten jig head and a spinning rod with 6# copolymer

Gambler EZ-Swimmer on a 4/O Owner's Beast hook and a Gambler Big-EZ on a 5/0 Owner's Beast hook. These have replaced the other swimbaits I was using, and also make great spinnerbait and chatterbait trailers.

for me, my favorite budget swimbait is the yum pulse 4.5". I have had great success on a weedless weightless hooks in vegetation and good luck throwing it on a weighted swimbait hook for deeper presentations. I have also done well with them on an a-rig with a 5.8 keitech in the center.

Most of my success has come with the roboworm ez-shad and a weighted owner beast hook or similar style.  Ive caught plenty of fish on the fat swim impact style swimbaits, but the ezshad consistantly works at most of the lakes I fish.
