Hey all and Happy Holidays!!

What is the best way to store trolling motor batteries in the off season?

I have them in the basement, that much I know. I also charged them after the last time I went out.

I do keep it off the floor so I'm on the right track. I have a trickle charger, I just wanted to make sure that keeping it on the charger ALL WINTER isn't gonna hurt the battery or my electric bill!!

I keep them plugged in 24/7. I recommend it if your charger has that feature.

+1   get a guest charger and never look back

Al, "Guest" is a name brand  :)  Trickle is fine but not necessary I don't think.  We just top ours off and put them inside for the winter.   Some yrs, there isn't much left in them by the end of the season so we just save them and turn them in when we get the new ones for the yr.
