Fishing high water

I live in eastern central Florida and we’ve been getting a lot of rain the past month, so water levels have risen. What are some tips for finding bass when this happens? Do most bass move up into the new shallow cover that is created?

Some will with, slowly rising water, but that is more of a quick rising, murky water occurrence. The instability of the weather is going to affect fish positioning more so than the slowly rising water. Cover with deeper water nearby and deep water with some type structure is going go hold the majority of fish. Once the conditions stabilize, newly submerged cover in the vicinity of a known spot could see an influx of fish.

When I lived and fished in Florida, I found the high shallow water bite was good when I found areas with the cleanest freshwater runoff. Specifically on East Toho, West Toho and Kissimmee. But I'm not an expert on Florida waters , they often prove difficult for me !
