Quarry Man Posted June 14, 2018 Posted June 14, 2018 i like to use a trailer hook and i like for it to be free swinging. This is not up for debate at the moment. What i would like to know is how to use the surgical tubing provided with the 1/0 gamakatsu trailer hooks i purchased. will be using 1/2 oz kid finesse spinnerbaits. thanks. Quote

Super User Deleted account Posted June 14, 2018 Super User Posted June 14, 2018 I use the tubing when I want a stiff connection, when I want free swinging I hole punch a coffee can or peanut can lid and use that. A while ago I picked up some DSG spinnerbaits and buzz baits that came with plastic hook point guards, I sliced them with a razor blade, and those work better than anything else I've tried. 3 Quote

I use a one-hole punch - just about any plastic lid or strip cut out of a container will work. I love the DSG buzzbaits - super effective for me; and I use the point guards the same way. Quote

That is what made me create this thread, i want to find out how to replicate it best. At least SOMEONE knows exactly what I am talking about! 1 Quote

I don't have detailed records, but I would estimate that 8 of the top 10 largest bass I've caught were on buzzbaits, and at least 75% of those are on the Banshee. 1 Quote
