I have a 2012 Nitro Z8 with 250 Pro XS.  Running a 25p 3-blade Fury (all plugs out).  I'm getting 5500 rpm and about 62 mph on gps.  Holeshot is moderate and haven't found any gain by using the jackplate (actually loose speed when I raise the jackplate).  Wondering if this is boat is maxed out or missing something on the setup?

The jack plate and the trim with the engine are really for 2 different purposes.  The jack plate is simply for shallow water and going on plane in shallow water.  Trim is for economical speed.
