It seems that every year I'd find some new lure that I wanted to try, whether it be a new lure or old lure that has been out for a long time that I just discovered I always usually bought a lure or two that I'd never had or tried before. Last year I bought quite a few things, Teckel Sprinker frogs, chatterbaits, new spinnerbait brands, Whopper Ploppers, and quite a few hollow body frogs to experiment on to make my own Teckel Sprinker frogs. This year I really only bought the new Booyah Toad Runner and a Ninja Grass Blade for my Minn Kota Ulterra. I didn't buy any new rods or reels this year or any other fishing tackle or gear.

I think I've finally achieved fishing tackle and gear fulfillment. I don't want to purchase anything more and I definitely don't need anything else as I have new lures in the box still.

For Topwater:

1.)  Whopper Ploppers

2.)  Homemade Sprinker Teckel Frog (weedless Whopper Plopper/paddle tail frogs)

For Underwater:

1.)  Wacky Rigged Senko

2.)  Nose-hooked Zoom Super Fluke

I also use spinnerbaits quite often which and want to try some of the chatterbaits I have. What I have now has consistently worked pretty well in the lakes I fish. I do need to get better at fishing deeper though but I have lures for that too. But I really don't feel the desire to buy anything else....which is weird for me. lol. Maybe I finally beat the dreaded Bait Monkey!

Anyone else reached Fishing Tackle and Gear Fulfillment?

Don’t know if that’s realistic for me.

I throw my confidence baits in waves... But I always keep them stocked up.  I.e. I'm on a really good baby brush hog Carolina rig bite right now, and I'll fish the heck out of that until it doesn't work anymore.  But, as long as new lures, colors and techniques pop up, I'll never stop trying new things during the times when the bite is more difficult.  Makes packing a day box quite challenging...

I have a two car garage, two bedrooms, and a corner in the family room filled with tackle, and I still buy something or other now and then, so no.

That depends a lot on what part about fishing you like the most.  I sure enjoy collecting nice equipment.  The lures are cool and i like those but nothing compared to a super sweet rod and reel.  I dont think i could ever afford to have all the setups that i have an eye for.  Just the megabass C-40 rods would be more than a little bit of coin.

As soon as I get a new boat...

Thats my next purchase hopefully. Maybe that’s why I’m currently satisfied.

For the most part yes. When I was at Cabelas recently picking up some flouro leader walking through the store I couldn’t really find anything I wanted or needed.

My goal moving forward over the next few years is to upgrade rods and reels and only replace my go to baits as they are used up.

Is that a pun? ???

Seriously though I've been talking a lot about getting an aluminum tiller bass boat this year if I can find something that works. That means I need at LEAST a few more combos to keep the decks full and plastics to keep the bins full.

Wait... fishing gear fulfillment... I don't understand. It's inconceivable.

ICAST 2018 is coming up. Let me know if you are still satisfied after that.

Its a bad thing to say but I will never be 100% satisfied. I went through all of my combos last year (which are relatively new) and told myself that if I replaced this rod with a nicer one and this reel and so on that I would not need to upgrade anything and I would be set. Well this year has not been the case. I have changed several rods and reels out plus who knows how much tackle I have bought. I have stuff sitting around that I have never thrown.

Holy mother of tackle! Looks like a fishing shop in there lol.

I have most stuff I want, but there is a few odds and ends I still would like to have.

Some stuttersteps, some jerkbaits, some different kinds of frogs, I'd like some different worms, maybe some larger trick worms and the like. I'm sure as I go along I'll find more stuff I want to try lol.

I'd reached the point of mainly just replenishing as I'd always preferred to buy local in store.

And and then got on an eBay kick after avoiding it intentionally for years... slippery slope indeed.

I had gone into restock mode for a while....then someone here taught me about tacklewarehouse.....that website should be illegal.

I was getting close...maybe not to fulfillment, but at least the buying was tapering a bit....and then had to start planning for first walleye trip in years...bait monkey is happy once again
