My thumb bar stiks 3/4 of the way down when depressed requiring me to press it again to engage the return pawl? Could this be due to a weak return pawl spring?

Another guy had the same issue and it was concluded that he had a weak return spring

I've never seen a return spring go bad. They get lost or broken in failed DIY attempts more often. If you'd like to send it in for a full service include your screen name in the contact info to get a BassResource.com member discount of 10% off labor.
