Steve1357 Posted June 10, 2018 Posted June 10, 2018 I know I needed help when I started buying things that when I started putting them up, I discovered I already had bought a bunch of them years earlier.... I have boxes of stuff I'll never use if I was fishing every day, all day, the rest of my life...lol 3 Quote
gilkeybr Posted June 11, 2018 Posted June 11, 2018 Discovering Tackle Warehouse two years ago was the worst thing that could happen to my fishing addiction. Getting unique, hard to find, baits all of a sudden because an issue of just a couple clicks. Prior to that it was 2-3 trips to the local BPS or similar each year. Now...some days I feel like i'm single handedly keeping TW in business. Quote
Super User Koz Posted June 11, 2018 Super User Posted June 11, 2018 Same thing happened to me yesterday. I went in planning to spend $8 on plastics and spent 4X that when I walked out of the store. Quote
Super User Log Catcher Posted June 11, 2018 Super User Posted June 11, 2018 I got it under control. I gone to BPS and Cabelas and walked out without buying anything. The strange part after that is my wife calling 911 to get me checked out to see how sick I am. 1 Quote
Trox Posted June 11, 2018 Posted June 11, 2018 Here's my recent story: I had a trolling motor fail on me just a couple of days before a tournament and between paychecks, so I went to Bass Pro to sign up for one of their credit cards just to get me competitive in the tourney with expectations to pay the balance in FULL with my next paycheck, then close the card... Unfortunately, they gave me a 3k limit when all I needed was a $600 Motor Guide... and I was in Bass Pro... Next thing you know, I'm also walking out with $800+ dollars of plastics and lures... needless to say, I had to spread those payments out a bit. They say that "alcoholism is a disease, but it's the only one that you can get yelled at for having"... My wife tends to disagree #fishaholic #noregrets Quote
bhoff Posted June 11, 2018 Posted June 11, 2018 Yea next thing you know you're hauling out a fully equipped ranger boat, a fathead of KVD and called your favorite lure company for a spot on the pro staff. Quote
