LCG Posted June 9, 2018 Posted June 9, 2018 What about a backpack, sling bag, or fishing vest? Plano has a box that has a handle that you could use a carabiner. Quote
thinkingredneck Posted June 9, 2018 Posted June 9, 2018 Check your local army surplus store. Looks like you got what you need. Consider a kayak! Quote
Super User Scott F Posted June 9, 2018 Super User Posted June 9, 2018 I highly recommend an over the shoulder sling pack. When you aren’t getting into it, it swings around to your back out of the way and does not interfere with your fishing. When you need to get into it, you swing it around to the front. Check out fly fishing tackle sites. You’ll find all kinds of solutions. Fly guys have the best gadgets. 3 Quote
kenmitch Posted June 9, 2018 Posted June 9, 2018 Sounds like a lot of stuff to throw into a trash bag and carry around. Wanting something that clips to your belt and isn't too bulky while allowing you to carry everything you listed limits the options. Have you looked at soft bait binders? Seems like you could adapt one for your needs . Walmart sells one for $10 that is Okeechobee Fats branded which isn't too bulky and has a loop for attaching a belt clip. You could store some of the stuff you listed in the pages and some in the zippered web pouch on the lid. You'd probably want to pick up 1 or 2 little plastic Plano or Flambeau boxes to drop in to hold crankbaits or for your hooks and weights, etc. I'd imagine the spinnerbaits would sit flat enough to store in a page. Here's a couple photos of it to give you an idea to determine if it would work for you or not. Seems like it would too me at least. I don't keep the box in the zippered pouch....Just put there for the photo for illustration purposes. 1 Quote
Nattyboh74 Posted June 9, 2018 Posted June 9, 2018 Get a good brand youth backpack. This is what I use when hiking around. https://shop.highsierra.com/sitewide-promo-inclusion-list/high-sierra-mini-loop-backpack/873786290.html#q=Mini+loop&start=1 Quote

jbmaine Posted June 9, 2018 Posted June 9, 2018 For all that you are carrying I'd look at a fly fishing, or hiking vest. Quote

Quarry Man Posted June 12, 2018 Posted June 12, 2018 backpack but a thin one with straps cross your waist, chest and to tighten the contents down so it will be less painful to so=upport due to physics. Quote
Super User Spankey Posted June 12, 2018 Super User Posted June 12, 2018 I glad you are opting for something other than the plastic grocery store bag. If if I can ask, how long have you been working out of that grocery store bag? Glad you are getting something more secure so things don't wind up in the drink. Quote

Super User NYWayfarer Posted June 12, 2018 Super User Posted June 12, 2018 I highly recommend the Under Armour Undeniable sackpack. It's a drawstring back pack with a few pockets and a large main compartment. I use it for bank fishing and it is perfect for carrying a few baits, tools and necessities. You don't even feel it on your back while casting. Quote

Mine ripped at the straps, within the first fishing trip. I wasnt very loaded either. The straps seemed very thin for a big bag Quote
Bass Junke Posted August 17, 2018 Posted August 17, 2018 Hey, new guy here. I went with a tactical backpack. There are tons of them anywhere from 20-80$. They fit most plastic tackle storage plus the Molle straps are awesome for hanging pliers, scissors, ect Quote
