New York (CNN)Anthony Bourdain, the gifted chef, storyteller and writer who took TV viewers around the world to explore culture, cuisine and the human condition for nearly two decades, has died. He was 61.

Sorry, but never heard of the guy.

 

I guess he was not into Cajun and Creole cooking.

 

Sorry to hear on the radio today that we lost him.

Very sad I was a big fan of his original show on the travel channel No reservations. I don’t watch cnn so I never got to see his new stuff but he was a great writer I seen all the old  episodes of no reservations all of them.

Very sad.

 

His show was one of those that I never scheduled my life around, but if I was channel surfing and saw it was on, I ALWAYS stopped and watched.

 

To me, he struck me as being similar to Jose Wejebe of "Spanish Fly" fame.  Just one of those dudes that you'd have an instant connection with.

Come to Louisiana as you are.  Leave different.

 

And do some fantastic fishing in the Biloxi Marsh and Venice areas.
