I want to enter into a local tournament in the near future. I need some advice on what a basic arsenal for a tournament would look like. I cant afford technique specific rods for all techniques. Basically, I need 4-5 rod and reels which will cover all aspects of fishing for the tournament.

I am slowly building my arsenal, and already have a  7'2 L Ex Fast spinning Powell Endurance I use for dropshotting and small tubes and  Dobyns Fury 703 Fast action Spinning I use for Texas rigs, Finesse jigs and most heavier finesse applications, so finesse spinning gear is covered.

I am looking for 2-3 more setups to complete the arsenal:

I need a casting rod for Jigs, Heavy T rigs, and occasional frogs.

I'm also looking for a rod to throw spinner baits, cranks, and chatter-baits (moving baits). This is the most confusing one because after researching, people swear by mod action, short, lighter power rods and others swear by fast action, heavier power longer rods.

A topwater rod would be nice, but i dont mind my fury for this application. Also, may use the moving bait rod for this as well.

Just need some advice from experienced anglers on what kinds of rods would suit these applications well.

thanks!
