Caiden Kuehn Posted June 5, 2018 Posted June 5, 2018 So I’ve been looking all over the internet to find the best site to sell one of my rods and reel. Could someone help me find a good site where I can get the most money for my items. Quote
KDW96 Posted June 5, 2018 Posted June 5, 2018 Bass Resourse has the Fishing Flea Market? Id try there before any other? Quote
Super User JustJames Posted June 5, 2018 Super User Posted June 5, 2018 Do you want most money? or do you want more buyers but you might have to eat the cost of shipping? For most money, you should look for local buyer claiglist, offer up Facebook market place might be the way to go. More buyer, eBay but a lot of steps and fee. BR's flea market but you have to consider shipping cost as well. I'd try to sell locally first then BR'a flea market.(I don't do eBay and I don't sell rod if shipping involved) Shipping cost for 1 reel could be from 8-13 bucks, rod might be even more. Quote
Rahlow Posted June 5, 2018 Posted June 5, 2018 I’ve had good luck with items I’ve sold on Craigslist and Facebook Market Place Quote
Beetlebz Posted June 6, 2018 Posted June 6, 2018 I sell all my stuff on ebay. Gotta watch rod shipping though, it's savage expensive. Quote
Super User the reel ess Posted June 6, 2018 Super User Posted June 6, 2018 Every time I've sold anything on OfferUp or LetGo, someone will lowball you, then when you get to a desired price they'll want you to drive halfway to them, then show up late. I drove 20 miles to meet a guy who showed up late with $15 less than we agreed on and asked me to take it because it was all he had. I told him how an ATM works and waited there for him to come back. I said "C'mon man! You're late and short of cash? I'll just keep it out of principle." He got the cash. Ask for more than you want because you'll be expected to haggle. Quote

I would try a local fishing or sportsmen forums IE Michigan sportsman. I got my asking price within a day. Craig’s list is full of low ballers. That are just trying to flip stuff for profit rather than people looking for a decent deal on used equipment. I don’t mind negotiating but, if it is to low a offer I’d rather just keep it. Quote
