You do, (I’m in southern Maine as well) I’m sure you know of Square pond?(state record brown) Little Ossipee?  These are stocked lakes,  but the fishing can be excellent. I’ve heard of double digit browns being caught in Square in recent years. Sebago isn’t really that far either.  It’s nothing to get 5lb lakers and 3lb salmon there.

We commonly catch 2lb rainbows  in Little Ossipee.  Got my first 3lb there this spring as well and I’ve seen pictures of 6lbs.  That’s why I don’t just fish for bass down here ?

I hear ya, I spent many years trout fishing with a fly rod. I know there's trout down here but you mentioned " native trout" That's few and far between down here.
